Upgrading the ISL Conference Proxy |

The instructions in this section for upgrading the ISL Conference Proxy should be followed only if you are already using the ISL Light Server License and have the ISL Conference Proxy installed on your server. If you do not have an ISL Conference Proxy installed yet on your server, please see the section on Installing ISL Conference Proxy.
Upgrade from version 2 to 3.0 |

- Stop the old ISL Conference Proxy:
- Windows: Control panel -> Administrative tools -> Services, select ISL Conference Proxy, Stop

- Linux: /etc/init.d/confproxy.rc stop or killall confproxy
- Make a complete backup of the old ISL Conference Proxy folder:
- Windows: ..\Program files\XLAB ISL Conference Proxy folder
- Linux: cd /var && tar -czvf confproxy_backup.tgz confproxy
- Proceed normally to install a new ISL Conference Proxy described in the section on Installing ISL Conference Proxy. The ISL Conference Proxy 3.0 will automatically upgrade the old configuration and the old users files. Please note that the upgrade might take some time and the ISL Conference Proxy administration web services might therefore not be accessible immediately. You can check the progress on the upgrade by opening the log file confproxy_server.log, available in the ISL Conference Proxy installation directory.
- Follow the instructions in the section on Initial CP Configuration.
- After completing the initial configuration, you should also see the settings in other configuration subpages to check if the settings have migrated properly.
Upgrade from version 3.0.0 to 3.0.1 or later |
- Log into the ISL Conference Proxy administration (http://localhost:7615/conf/).
- Select the Check for updates in the menu.
- Click on the Reload list.
- Select the latest version of the ISL Conference Proxy in the list.
- Click on the Install updates.
- Restart the proxy.

| Upgrade from version 3.0.1 or later |
- Log into the ISL Conference Proxy administration (http://localhost:7615/conf/).
- Select theUpdates in the menu.

- Select the latest ISL Conference Proxy in the list of possible upgrades and click on the Install selected.
- The button "Restart server" appears on top of the panel. By pressing it, you will restart the ISL Conference Proxy.
Manual upgrade from version 3.0.0 or later |
The ISL Conference Proxy can be upgraded manually as well. You can simply download the latest installer and run it as described in the section on Installing ISL Conference Proxy. The installer will locate the old installation and automatically upgrade it. |
